Ryan Weger is a civil litigator who launched his career in Dallas and brought it home to Texoma.

Born and raised on a working ranch in Bells, Texas, Ryan spent eight years as a firefighter and paramedic before heading to law school. He graduated magna cum laude from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2018, where he also served as a federal judicial extern in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of North Texas and an associate’s degree from Texas A&M University.

After law school, Ryan spent six years at Husch Blackwell, one of the hundred largest firms in the country, handling commercial litigation in state court, federal court, and arbitration on behalf of major corporations, closely held businesses, and high net worth individuals. He tried cases, took and defended depositions, and ran the day-to-day work of complex business disputes from intake through resolution.

In late 2024, Ryan returned to Grayson County to join Bill Kennedy Law, where he now represents individuals and small businesses across the Texoma region. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, including corporate ownership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and breach of contract matters across a wide range of industries. Ryan also handles real estate, construction, insurance, financial services, agriculture, and equine litigation, and regularly drafts and reviews contracts for business and individual clients. He is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts and in the Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.

Clients hire Ryan for the kind of experience usually found only at large firms in Dallas, Houston, or Austin, delivered by an attorney who lives and works in the community he serves. They keep him because he answers the phone. Ryan believes a client deserves to hear from his lawyer at every meaningful turn in a case, not just when the bill arrives, and he handles each matter personally from start to finish.

“I TREAT EVERY CASE AS MY OWN, BECAUSE MY CLIENTS DESERVE NOTHING LESS.”
