A prisoner in Long Island was rudely awaked because of a rat biting his private parts. The prisoner, not traumatized, is suing Nassau County, for failing for to protect him from rodents. Peter Solomon, a Vietnam veteran was put in prison in 2007 for menacing his wife.
Solomon was transferred to a mental observation unit shortly after being imprisoned. One night, as Solomon slept, a rat came out of his mattress and bit his genitals. The injured prisoner was immediately given a rabies shot and incurred minor blood loss. Solomon’s lawyer’s claims that as a result of this incident, his client has undergone multiple humiliating procedures and now suffers complete sexual dysfunction.
Solomon’s lawyers are in the process of gathering other accounts of rodent encounters throughout the prison to prove that the prison knew about a longstanding rodent problem.
